As always, fear, anxiety and despair will be in the air as 35 of 36 spellers will embarrass themselves in front of a large crowd of onlookers. But one person will not do that, hopefully, and that one person will win all manner of fabulous prizes. (The first runner-up will also win prizes, as will some audience members. It's a very prize-heavy affair.)
Prizes for the Bee have once again been generously donated by the Providence Athenaeum, Tiny Showcase, Craftland, Ada Books and What Cheer Antiques (which will be in a brand-new location on Thayer Street by then.)
The competition begins at 9, with signups starting at 8:30. It's $7 to spell but free to watch, so spellers are encouraged to bring cheering sections. Due to time constraints, ONLY the first 36 people to sign up will be allowed to spell, so get there on time if you'd like a shot at the crown. (Sorry, there are no advance signups.)

Parking Info
We have a splendid bike rack in front of AS220 that we graciously offer to the public for FREE. Unfortunately we don't offer such luxurious accomodations for cars, but there are several parking garages within walking distance to AS220. You are also more than welcome to park on the street, but not in the middle of the road.
