The rain date for this concert is Saturday July 10, same time, same place.=0D=0A=The RHODE ISLAND PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA will perform five Summer Pops-2010 concerts in various locations in Rhode Island this summer. Resident Conductor FRANCISCO NOYA will conduct the five concerts. These concerts are free of charge and open to the public.=0D=0A=FRANCISCO NOYA is a well-known figure in the Boston-New England music scene. He served as Music Director of the Longwood Symphony Orchestra in Boston for 12 seasons and is a prominent member of the Conducting Faculty at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. As Resident Conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, he conducts the POPS-PHIL-PPAC Series, Education concerts and the Summer Pops Series.=0D=0A=The Summer Pops-2010 program will include light classics, music from Broadway shows and popular patriotic numbers, as well as Summer Pops traditional favorites, America the Beautiful and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. =0D=0A= =0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:8 - 10 PM
