 \, fear\, anxiety and despair will be in the air as 35 of 36 spellers will
  embarrass themselves in front of a large crowd of onlookers. But one pers
 on will not do that\, hopefully\, and that one person will win all manner 
 of fabulous prizes. (The first runner-up will also win prizes\, as will so
 me audience members. It's a very prize-heavy affair.)\n\nPrizes for the Be
 e have once again been generously donated by the Providence Athenaeum\, Ti
 ny Showcase\, Craftland\, Ada Books and What Cheer Antiques (which will be
  in a brand-new location on Thayer Street by then.)\n\nThe competition beg
 ins at 9\, with signups starting at 8:30. It's $7 to spell but free to wat
 ch\, so spellers are encouraged to bring cheering sections. Due to time co
 nstraints\, ONLY the first 36 people to sign up will be allowed to spell\,
  so get there on time if you'd like a shot at the crown. (Sorry\, there ar
